Why ByteGuard Exists

The Story

ByteGuard was born from years of building payment systems — from core transaction logic to gateway integrations. Working daily with API keys, sensitive credentials, and financial data shaped a deep understanding of what it means to protect information that matters.

That professional obsession with security became personal. After trying numerous password managers and finding none that matched the security standards expected in financial systems, the only option was to build one.

Principles

  • Privacy First: Zero-knowledge architecture. We cannot see, access, or decrypt your data. Your encryption keys never leave your device.
  • Local First: Your data lives on your device. iCloud sync is optional, and even then, everything is encrypted before it leaves.
  • Fair Pricing: Choose what works for you: subscribe monthly or yearly, or make a one-time purchase for lifetime access. No lock-in.
  • No Tracking: Zero analytics. Zero advertising SDKs. Zero crash reporters. Zero social media trackers. Your usage is your business.
